Bio

Reich oversees all media relations, publications, marketing and public relations duties for the University's 24 NCAA Division III athletic teams while also assisting with administrative tasks within the office of athletics.

Reich has expanded the reach of the Purple Raiders by brokering a television broadcast package with regional cable network – SportsTime Ohio, created the most followed social media channels in Division III athletics and runs a comprehensive athletic website.

No stranger to Mount Union or the Ohio Athletic Conference, he served as the sports information director at Capital for eight years. Reich's career in sports began as a student at Georgia Southern, where he was equipment manager for the baseball team. He also worked at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta as a member of the logistics crew for beach volleyball. After graduating with a degree in sports management in 1997, the Erie, PA native spent the next year and a half as an intern in the athletic department at Edinboro (PA), sports information director at Centenary (NJ) and assistant information director for the Gulf South Conference in Birmingham, AL.

In 1998, Reich took his first job in Ohio as the sports information director at Defiance College. While at Defiance he called high school and college basketball games on the radio. He next served as the sports information director at Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI, and was public relations director for the Midwest College Hockey Association.

Recognized by his peers for his efforts, he has been chair of the OAC SID Task Force and is on the D3SIDA National Board of Directors serving as president from 2017-19. He has presented at numerous CoSIDA and ECAC-SIDA conventions

Reich, his wife Helen and daughter Caroline, live in Alliance, OH
